Math 10 FPC: May 15 ~ 2.3 Volume

What a great class you all are.

We finished the last section of Chapter 2 today. Quiz to come soon (Early next week), followed by the test after that.

If tomorrow is nice, then we will go out and do something fun in the sun. Although we may need a Crash course in Trigonometry for us to be able to do what I am thinking. WE will figure something out.

Tonight’s homework is p. 86-90, Q 1,5,6,7,8 and if you are feeling confident, try #14.

All for now.

Math 10 FPC: May 14 ~ 2.2 Surface Area

No where near as fun as playing with fruit peels but still a fun class.

We have finished doing an example of finding surface area for each type of Shape listed on the formula sheet. Be careful on RECTANGULAR BASED Pyrramids as they do NOT fall into the same category as square based pyramids (I think Q #5 has a rectangular based pyramid in it for you to try).

REmember to check your answers in the back of the book.

The homework today is on p. 74 – 77. Q: 1.3.5.6.10.11.14.16.17

The text can be found here

Text Section 2.2

Hopefully you used your extensive class time today to get a good start on your homework.

Math 10 AW: May 13 ~ 7.1 Lines and Angles

New chapter = new FUN!

Lines and angles are awesome! well… they work into something awesome, TRIGONOMETRY. Can’t wait till we get there but this stuff will set us up good to understand Trig down the road.

Todays homework is from section 7.2, p 186-187 Q 1,3,4,5

See you tomorrow. Bring water as it is supposed to be a scorcher!

Math 10 FPC: May 13 ~ FRUIT DAY and Surface Area

Who said Math couldn’t be tasty!

I had fun today watching you guys perform the lab with fruit peels. Thanks for sharing the watermelon group 7. I think you were the only group that actually shared the fruit!

No homework assigned today. Have a great night off.

See you tomorrow. Bring water as tomorrow is supposed to be VERY hot out.

Math 10 AW: May 9 ~ Test day = NO HOMEWORK

Great job on the test today everyone. I will get those marked and back to you ASAP.

If you found the test difficult today, make a mental note of the frustration you felt. Use that frustration from this test to try to learn more from the next unit.

No homework today since we did a test today.

Enjoy the Long weekend, enjoy the sun, and I will see on Tuesday for a fresh start on a new unit.

Math 10 FPC: May 9 ~ 2.1 Area and Volume

Hey everyone.

The end of school is close. Less than 30 school days left in the year.

On that note, if you haven’t gotten your own calculator yet, YOU NEED TO!! You dont want to lose marks because you didnt know how to use your calculator.
You wouldn’t bring unworn boots on a long hike, so dont bring an unused calculator into the exam.

WE started cahpter 2 today on Surface Area and Volume.

The homework today is from p 61, Q 1,4,5,6,7,10,12
