Factoring Perfect Square Trinomials:

First and last term are perfect squares.

Middle term is twice the square root of the product of the first and the last.

Math 10 – Sept 30: 5.3 Factoring Trinomials (pt 2)

Today we looked at factoring trinomials in the form ax2 + bx + c where a does not equal 1

There are many methods to factor this type of trinomial. The method we learned in class is called factoring by grouping. Here is a video:



Homework; Pg. 234 #6, 7, 15, 18, 19
