#3 Moles of water = Mass water removed (DATA) / Molar mass of water (PERIODIC TABLE)
#4 Moles of CoCl2 = Mass CoCl2 remaining (DATA) / Molar mass of CoCl2 (PERIODIC TABLE)
#5 Ratio = Calculation 3 / Calculation 4
Naming Ionic and Covalent compounds including polyatomic ions and multivalent metals.
There will be a quiz on naming and writing formulas on Thursday Oct 23.

Start notes on the periodic table and chemical families (Workbook 2.11-2.12)
You should have completed 2.1-2.10 & 2.17 in your workbook, plus pg 149 #20-21 in the Hebden text.
Naming compounds containing multivalent metals (transition metals with more than one possible charge)
To name follow rules for naming binary ionic and polyatomic ions and include a Ronan numeral (in brackets) to signify the charge of the metal.
